Male 5 Week Boost
Excellent Response:
No change to initial dose, keep patient on normal pellet insertion scheddule.
Good Response:
If patient has had a good response, you could consider going up by 200mg at regular scheduled dosing, never to exceed 2400mg or look for other areas that need to be optimized, Thyroid Panel, B12, Vit D, Exercise, Weightloss….
Fair To No Effect:
If patients “T” level @4 week visit is =<800 and they have had fair to no effect then give 500mg dose at 5 week clinic visit. Then get labs again at 3 months to make sure T levels are not greater than 1200. Plan to increase dose by 25% at the regular schedule pellet insertion still to never go over 2400mg.
